엘레나 마일즈는 1958년 12월 25일 캐나다의 토론토에서 태어난 싱어 송 라이터이다.
그녀는 1989년 1집 앨법 [Alannah Myles]을 발표하면서 데뷔하였다.
1990년 그래미 어워드 최우수 영성 록 보컬상을 받았다.
11살 때부터 노래를 시작한 그녀는 15살 때 이미 작곡 솜씨를 발휘하여 주변 사람들의 주목을 받았다.
또 그녀는 1980년대 중후반 팝 메들의 강렬한 경쾌함에 불루스와 로큰롤의 원초적 리듬을 조화시켜
팬들의 폭발적 인기를 얻었다.
